The line before the cut

A layout tool is only as good as the line it leaves. Our T-squares hold a 0.3 to 1 mm pencil point in holes every 1/32 in, so you slide the square down the edge and draw a line parallel to it without measuring twice. They come in 24 and 32 in, long enough for a cabinet side.

The adjustable angle square locks at 0, 15, 22.5, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees. The carpenter square has angle pins from 22.5 to 75 degrees, and the scriber rule draws a gauge line up to 12 in from an edge.

Every square on this shelf belongs to GOINGMAKE jigs and guides. Before you set up a square, read How to choose a table saw miter gauge: slot, fence length and angle stops.

Questions

Questions about GOINGMAKE squares and marking

Which pencil should you use with the GOINGMAKE T-square?

Mechanical pencils of 0.3 to 1 mm: the point drops into scribe holes spaced every 1/32 in, and you slide the square along the edge to draw a parallel line.

Which GOINGMAKE square do you need to mark angles?

The adjustable angle T-square locks at 0, 15, 22.5, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees, and the carpenter square has angle pins at 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 67.5 and 75 degrees.

Should you pick the 24 or the 32 in GOINGMAKE T-square?

Pick by your longest part. The 24 in square covers most cabinet sides and shelves, and the 32 in square reaches across sheet goods and bookcase sides in one pass.
