One slot, three jobs

Your table saw has a 3/8 x 3/4 in miter slot on each side of the blade, and every jig on this page rides in it. A miter gauge pushes a board across the blade for crosscuts and angles. The thin rip jig locks in the slot in front of the blade and sets the width of the next strip from a roller bearing. The dial indicator slides along the slot to show how far the blade or the fence sits from parallel.

Start with the alignment: a blade that is out of line with the slot spoils every cut the other jigs make. Then pick a gauge by the size of your saw table and the widest board you crosscut, and add the thin rip jig if you cut banding, slats or inlay strips in batches.

These jigs come from miter gauges and saw jigs and guides in the GOINGMAKE collection.

Questions

Questions about the GOINGMAKE table saw jigs

Which GOINGMAKE table saw jig should you buy first?

Check the blade first: if it is not parallel to the miter slot, no gauge cuts square. The dial indicator shows it. After that, the miter gauge that fits your saw, and the thin rip jig if you cut strips.

Will every GOINGMAKE table saw jig fit your miter slot?

Yes, the 3/8 x 3/4 in slot most table saws use. The thin rip jig also fits 1/4 x 3/8 in T-slots.
