Description
Description
On a benchtop saw, box sides and frame rails rarely need more than a short fence. The Compact Miter Gauge matches a 360 mm (14 in) fence to a 360 mm bar. The whole gauge is easy to store and to carry to the next job, and it still crosscuts a part wider than your hand.
Short parts are where a flip stop pays off. Its pointer reads under a magnifying glass, it locks solid for a run of repeat cuts, and a locating pin catches the end of a mitered piece. To zero it, set the pointer on 0 and lock it. Then move the fence until the stop touches the blade, using the 1 to 3 mm gap we built in.
Angles lock with a plastic handle against metal stops at 90, 60, 45, 30, 22.5, 15 and 0° to each side, eleven in all. The laser-engraved inch and mm scales handle anything in between. Adjusters at three points along the bar fit it to a 3/8 x 3/4 in slot.

Questions
Questions about the GOINGMAKE Compact Miter Gauge, 14 in Fence
Is the GOINGMAKE 14 in Compact Miter Gauge small enough for your benchtop saw?
It was sized for one: the fence and the bar are both 360 mm (14 in). The bar fits a 3/8 x 3/4 in T-slot or U-slot, and adjusters at the front, middle and end set its fit.
Can the GOINGMAKE Compact Miter Gauge repeat short parts for your boxes?
Yes. Lock the flip stop at a length on the 14 in fence and every box side stops at the same mark. See choosing a miter gauge for when a longer fence helps.
A table saw cuts fingers as easily as wood. The agencies below put the numbers on it and say what keeps hands out of the line of the cut.
