Pick the gauge by the saw and the board
Start with the table in front of your blade. A jobsite saw has a short table, and the 12 and 14 in gauges ride it without hanging off the front. A contractor or cabinet saw carries the 18 in fences, and the telescoping gauges reach 32, 36 or 38 in when you crosscut a panel.
Then decide how you repeat cuts. Every gauge here locks on positive angle stops, and the four upper gauges add a flip stop that turns in steps of 0.001 in. If you cut parts in batches, that stop saves a test cut on every setup.
Not sure which one fits? Our miter gauge finder asks for the saw and your widest crosscut and names the gauges that reach it.
Every miter gauge on this shelf belongs to GOINGMAKE jigs and guides. Before you set up a miter gauge, read How to choose a table saw miter gauge: slot, fence length and angle stops.
Questions
Questions about GOINGMAKE miter gauges
How do you tell the nine GOINGMAKE miter gauges apart?
By the fence and the stop. The 12 and 14 in gauges suit jobsite saws, the 18 in gauges suit contractor and cabinet saws, and the telescoping gauges reach 21, 24, 32, 36 or 38 in. The four upper gauges add a flip stop that turns in steps of 0.001 in.
Can you lock a GOINGMAKE miter gauge at 45 degrees?
Yes. The gauges lock on positive stops at 90, 60, 45, 30, 22.5 and 15 degrees each side, with push-button stop holes on the 0727 heads. Between stops you set any angle by the scale and lock it.
Can you crosscut a long board with a GOINGMAKE miter gauge?
A telescoping fence supports a wide panel, but a long board hanging off the saw is another matter: OSHA advises against crosscutting long boards on a table saw. Read how to choose a miter gauge.
A table saw cuts fingers as easily as wood. The agencies below put the numbers on it and say what keeps hands out of the line of the cut.
