Fence length
Nine GOINGMAKE miter gauges on one rule
Each bar runs from the fence in its shortest setting to the longest crosscut it supports. Find your widest board on the scale and read up.
Before you order
Six checks before you order a GOINGMAKE jig
Your saw, your rail, your hinges and your bench decide which jig of the GOINGMAKE collection fits. Measure these first.
- 01
Measure the miter slot
Most table saws have a 3/8 in deep, 3/4 in wide slot, T-shaped or plain. Our gauges, the thin rip jig and the dial indicator fit that slot. Measure yours with a caliper before you order.
- 02
Measure the table in front of the blade
A jobsite saw has a few inches of table before the blade. A 12 or 14 in fence suits it. A cabinet saw carries an 18 in fence and more without tipping.
- 03
Find your widest crosscut
Take the widest board you cut across: a shelf, a door panel, a case side. Pick the fence that reaches it, or one that telescopes to it.
- 04
Check the rail of your track saw
The parallel guides fit Festool, Makita, Milwaukee, Triton, Powertec and WEN guide rails. Other rails are not listed.
- 05
Count the hinge offset
A cup hinge names its offset in millimeters. Our hinge jigs set 2 to 6 mm on the full and 3-axis jigs, 3 to 6 mm on the compact one.
- 06
Pick one dog hole size
Bench dogs come in 20 mm and 3/4 in. Choose one for the whole top: the drill guide comes in both, the bench dog clamp takes 3/4 in holes.

The GOINGMAKE way: put the cut where you measured
A jig earns its place on the wall when it repeats a setting without fuss. That is the test we hold our gauges, guides and squares to: the stop returns to the same mark, the scale reads the same from the handle, and the part you cut on Saturday matches the one you cut on Friday.
Every figure on a jig of the GOINGMAKE catalog comes from the jig itself: the fence, the slot, the stops, the holes. More about GOINGMAKE.

Guides
Set up the jig, then cut
Setup notes for the jigs of the GOINGMAKE jig line: slot fit, fence length, rip widths, hinge offsets, hole spacing.
How to choose a table saw miter gauge: slot, fence length and angle stops
Measure your miter slot, match the fence to your saw and your widest crosscut, and know what positive angle stops and a micro-adjust flip stop do.
Thin strips and repeat rips: a thin rip jig on the table saw, a parallel guide on the track saw
Why thin strips fall on the outside of the blade, how a thin rip jig sets each one, and how a parallel guide makes a track saw rip sheet goods to width.
Concealed cabinet hinges: boring the 35 mm cup, setting the offset, hanging the door
How a 35 mm cup hinge sits in a door, what the offset setting changes, how a hinge jig bores the cup and the screw holes, and how to hang the door level.
Pocket holes, dowels and dog holes: drilling with a jig instead of by eye
When a pocket screw, a dowel or a shelf pin is the right joint, how each jig sets its holes, and how to drill a 20 mm or 3/4 in dog-hole grid in a bench top.
Questions
Questions about GOINGMAKE jigs and guides
Will a GOINGMAKE miter gauge fit your table saw?
If your saw has the common 3/8 x 3/4 in miter slot, T-shaped or plain, yes: every GOINGMAKE gauge is made for it, with adjustable rings or adjusters that take the play out of the bar. Measure the slot with a caliper before you order, and read how to choose a miter gauge.
Which GOINGMAKE miter gauge do you need for a jobsite saw?
A jobsite saw has a short table in front of the blade, so pick a short fence: the 12 in or 14 in gauge, or one of the two that stay short and extend to 21 or 24 in. Our miter gauge finder narrows it by your widest crosscut.
What does the GOINGMAKE thin rip jig do for you that the fence does not?
It locks in the miter slot in front of the blade and sets each strip from a roller bearing, so the strip you keep falls on the outside of the blade. You move the fence over to the bearing between cuts, and every strip comes out the same, as thin as 1/32 in.
Which GOINGMAKE hinge jig fits your cabinet hinges?
All three bore the 35 mm cup that concealed cabinet hinges use. The full and the 3-axis jigs set an offset of 2 to 6 mm, the compact one 3 to 6 mm, and each has guides for the screw holes. Check the offset printed on your hinge.
Where can you buy GOINGMAKE jigs?
Every buy button on our pages opens the jig at our retail partner, where you place the order and where shipping and returns are handled. Prices on this site come from our last update. The catalog shows the whole GOINGMAKE range in one place.
Will you get metal or plastic in a GOINGMAKE jig?
The jigs are machined from aluminum alloy, with steel guide rods on the drill guides, hardened guides in the shelf pin jigs, carbide-tipped hinge bits, and brass and stainless parts in the honing guide.
Three public sources stand behind our setup notes: how to keep hands clear at the table saw, how to hold work under a drill, and what wood dust does in a closed shop.
