Description
Description
Every door in a kitchen of frameless cabinets needs a 35 mm cup for each hinge, all at the same depth and distance from the edge. The Concealed Hinge Jig presets the depth from 0 to 0.6 in, so you set it once for your hinge and drill the rest without measuring. It suits 1/2 in overlay hinges and other common types.
The 35 mm carbide-tipped bit turns in a guide with double bearings, which keeps the cup straight from the first door to the last. Offsets of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm cover most concealed hinges. For screw holes, 5/64 in guides give four spacings, 42 x 11, 48 x 6, 52 x 5.5 and 45 x 9.5 mm, with 5/64 in bits included.
A quick clamp holds the jig on the door while you drill. The built-in metal bracket takes a 1-3/8 in vacuum hose, so the chips go up the hose instead of across the door face. With the cup clear, you can watch it reach depth.

Questions
Questions about the GOINGMAKE Concealed Hinge Jig
Which hinge offset should you use with the GOINGMAKE concealed hinge jig?
Use the offset your hinge maker gives for your door overlay. The jig sets 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 mm. The 35 mm cup jig guide explains offset and overlay.
Can you hook your shop vacuum to the GOINGMAKE hinge jig?
Yes, if its hose is 1-3/8 in. The metal dust bracket is built into the jig, so the cup stays clear and you can see the depth as you drill.
Hinge cups are drilled and hinge mortises are routed: both go best with the work clamped and your eyes covered.
